Like all modern croquet balls, these are made of a composite material. They weigh 16oz which is the weight of a standard croquet ball. They are harder than regulation balls and designed to have a higher bounce factor. So when one ball hits another the target ball moves further. This is an advantage for Garden Croquet where the grass is longer and therefore slower than on club lawns with a slick fast surface. We are unable to comment on their longevity but they seem extremely strong and after a season of regular use at our club they look as good as new.
